Courreges Elected Vice President of Texas Young Lawyers Association
David C. Courreges, an attorney with De Leon & Washburn, P.C. in Austin, was recently elected as the vice president of the Texas Young Lawyers Association by vote of the Board of Directors for the 2010-2011 Bar Year. David has been a member of the board since 2007. He currently serves in the capacity of the Association’s secretary and is the executive committee adviser to the Law Focused Education and Online Member Services Committees. Since joining TYLA, he has organized dozens of law-focused education presentations reaching thousands of students and teachers, and has assisted in the production of several public education projects including two educational documentaries: Vote American: Honor the Fight, Exercise your Right, and You’re Hired! Now What?. He is a recipient of the 2008 TYLA President’s Award, and two TYLA President Awards of Merit.
