De Leon & Washburn, P.C. was founded in 1977 by Hector De Leon, former General Counsel of the Texas Department of Insurance, a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and a native Austinite.

Since its inception, the firm's practice has included insurance, health, employee benefits issues, trade association and corporate law, as well as legislative affairs services.. The firm's clients include companies, third party administrators and employers desiring representation on corporate, regulatory and employee benefits issues, including ERISA matters.
